Hi there. I have an ADVENT laptop that comprises of this: 15.4" TFT screen, Intel Core Duo T2300 1.66GHZ, 1024MB DDRII 533RAM, Intel 955PM(Calistoga)+ICH7-M, ATI MOBILITY RADEONX1400(M54) supporting PCI Express X16 with 128MB external memory. Now, ive been trying to get my gamebridge working for the past 2 hours but to no avail! Everytime i try to change the "VIDEO CAPTURE DEVICE" to the correct one for gaming which is the "Adaptec Gamebridge AVC-14X0-15X0" my laptop always restarts itself! It's so **** annoying and i really want to get this working if possible!

Is there any reason why I can't get this to work? Cos ive been doin some forum researching and some people have fairly old laptops and the gamebridges on theirs seem fine, so why can't it work on mine!?

ARGH! It's doing my head in! Please please please culd someone help me! Maybe i need new drivers or something i dont know cos im not sure abt the technical side of things.

I've got ATI Catalyst version 06.12 btw. Not sure if thats of any use.

Also, its a gamebridge 1410 so it has the TV tuner incorporated into it as wel. Maybe this has something to do with it? I only want to play games and not watch TV. (the gamebridge is my mates and works fine on his PC). Maybe something to do with the TV tuning section??

Do you have some sort of PC clocking device? Like NHC or RMClock or anything that was built in from your manufacturer?

Because I had a rough start with mines, I have Power4Gear which is a notebook clocking system(switches from gaming, office, movie, etc. settings) and it conflicted with the Adaptec program client.

Perhaps exit that program and try again?
