I have a HP dv6500t and I bought the 12 cell battery with it. I was wondering if this would be a problem with buying a cooling pad because the 12 cell battery raises the laptop up about 1-2inches in the back.
Would it be a little akward typing or anything?
EDIT: Just to add my laptop is 15.4" and also was looking at a thread on this page and was reading about the zalman nc-1000. Would you reccomend it for me? Also saw the ANTEC Notebook Cooler S. It looks more portable and is cheaper. Any suggestions would help.

There's a sale going on for the Antec Cooler, $8 at buy.com (after rebate).
As for which to choose between the Antec and Zalman, the principle difference is the direction of airflow. The Antec sucks air downward while the Zalman blows air upward. So, the efficiency of each should depend on the location of your laptop's fan intake and exhaust. If your laptop's fan intake is at the bottom and exhaust is out the rear (as is the case with my current laptop), it would seem to me that the Zalman would be more efficient. But I haven't compared both so I couldn't tell you for certain.
Here's a review of the Antec:

And the Zalman:

And a short poll between the two:

Edit:
Oops, I see you meant the Antec Cooler S. I think those have the same direction of airflow as the other Antec Cooler. -
Two thumbs up for the Zalman. I have one and it works great.
Many other folks round here have it also. It seems to be popular with us Sager/Clevo owners.
