    Hey forum members,

After earning 60$ with my Xi 1526 review I am looking for a headset that can be send to me by Andrew. My budget is around 60$ (48-50 euro's) (dollar is very low, so not good for me in this case :)) This price is inclusive shipping I assume. But the price is not the big deal, as long as the product is around 50 euro's.

I have narrowed down my choise to 2 headsets that I find interesting.

    1. Sennheiser PC150 Headset.
-Pros: Good sound, Sennheiser quality, nice microphone.
-Cons: Not an over the ear design but on the ear design.

    2. Plantronics Audio 350.
-Pros: over the ear design and good sound according some reviews.
-Cons: looks ugly and a square headphones (are you kidding me!?).

Or the 3rd choise is a normal headphone with a microphone in addition. But I think I prefer a normal headset.
Logitech is also a good brand but I prefer Sennheiser above Logitech when it comes to headsets.

I really like the PC150 but the 'on the ear' design is a real concern for me. So my question is: is it comfortable or does your ear hurt after gaming for an hour?

    Thanks in advance!

    Charlie :)

I can't say that I have any experience with the Plantronics headset - because I don't - but I do own the Sennheiser PC150. I love this headset. The mic is crystal clear, and they work well for music, games - crisp sound quality. Good bass.

They are over the ear, but note that these headphones are very wide. There is minimal pressure being put on your ears, because they sort of just 'hang' over your head. Most on-ear headphones are uncomfortable because they squeeze your ears. These do not. I can wear them for hours without problems. If this headset was uncomfortable, I would have returned it within a few days of purchase - I've done that with pairs of on-ear headphones in the past.

I had several Plantronics, and from my experiences they were only Ok. I would probably say don't get the portable ones since they break easy (of course this was over 3 years ago). If I were to purchase again, I would go for the senn. I like they products and quality. Make sure the headset is adjustable and has enough for you for comfort regardless of over/on ear style. It makes a huge difference.

Thanks for your input Chaz and mythless.

Ok so a last question for Chaz: is the headset adjustable (I have a quite big head :))?

It is indeed - you can adjust the ear parts up and down. I can't imagine this headset would not fit anybody.

Why not go wireless? If you have bluetooth, a wireless headset with a microphone would be great. Keeping in mind your limited to 50 euros, I would wait and get the wireless.

Well...I would go with the Sennheiser PC150 I have read quite a few reviews and they all seem like this is the best overall. I might actually have to order it for myself since my cats chewed up mine. :D
