    Hey everyone,

Got my laptop a week ago(inspiron 1520), so far so good, knock -knock- knock. I have a 100 dollars to spend on these three components. They don't have to be top of the line, even tho i doubt they could for that money. All i care for is reliability and quality. Would you please suggest what brand and web site i could get them from?

    Thank you,

    BiG_V

I recall that Targus or Kensington used to sell a backpack with mouse and usb port hub as a combo. I cant seem to find it but that could be a useful approach.

For headphones, look no further than the Koss KSC75. You will not find a better-sounding pair of headphones for less than $50. I picked up my pair on Amazon for $17.
No one knows why they are so inexpensive yet deliver such awesome sound.

Yes, they have very good bass. You can make those cheap headphones sound even better - check out the mods some people do at www.head-fi.org. I personally have not modded mine.

I was kinda in the same situation you are in, except not all in the same order, and I was looking for more of a backpack than a case. I gave myself a little over $100 (about $110 at most) limit of finding a mouse, headphones, and backpack.

The backpack came first, Dakine Campus for $39.99, back in August. Then I took my precious time in finding a wireless mouse and decent headphones. and just yesterday, I bought the last two. I bought the Swissgear by Wenger Spyder Wireless Laser Mouse for $39.99 and JVC Marshmallow headphones (earphones, really) for $19.99. All coming to a total of about $107-$108. I pretty happy with the purchases, given my limited budget.

Although I was this close |-| to getting the VX Nano. Fell in love with how it felt and the small USB, but it was a bit too $$$ for me.

Actually I was at Circuit City today and I saw that combo, it's from Targus, and it was something like $70...I'm sure you can find it a little cheaper online

My favorite laptop bag of all time (I've owned like five) is the Wenger Maxxum, made by the people who made the Swiss army knives. Here's a link http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2007/pf/0708/gallery.back_to_school_electronics/2.html. I bought mine off of ebags for like $40, but i don't know if they still carry it. I can fit my 15" laptop into it along with two full sized textbooks, two 1-inch binders, and a 5-subject notebook. It has a LOT of pockets, but it doesn't have any pen holders and no detachable cell phone holder. As for the material, I feel 100% confident that my laptop wouldn't get damaged in this bag!

For the mouse, I just got a new Logitech VX Revolution from Circuit City today for less than $40. They're sellin the mouse for $64.99 on their website, and it has a $20 mail-in rebate, plus I had a 20% off coupon. In their actual store, it sells for $79.99, but all you have to do is show them the price on the website, and they will honor the $64.99 price. So far, I love this mouse!

As for headphones, I don't wear over-the-head type headphones much. I wear mostly in-ear types. Only time I wear over-the-head type is when I'm running on the treadmill. I'd recommend Senheiser or Bose or any of those, but I think those are too expensive for your budget. I don't know of any others that would have good bass, sorry.
