Does such a beast exist? I don't need a bag that's huge and can take 15-17 notebooks. I need it to be compact, and without zippers where the notebook would be inserted. I have a habit of scratching things on zippers, and don't want to kill my nice matte black lid.

    Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: Actually, a briefcase type bag with a strap would be fine as well, like those that Dell sells, but smaller.

i have got an asus bag that would fit and it has got clips instead of a zip. The asus logo isnt very big at all. I bought it with my 17" widescreen laptop but now have a rucksak. Where abouts are you?

Northern VA, but to be honest, if it fit a 17", it's probably too big for me. I want something that will "hug" the laptop a little; keep it in place when I am toting it around.

    Thanks though!

Not sure if you are interested in the sleeve department for notebooks. I don't have a m1210 yet, but have done a lot of research on it. The CasePC notebook sleeve is a pretty solid sleeve from the reviews I've read, and it does not come with a zipper. It's enclosed by using velcro. In addition, it's supposed to fit the m1210 laptop very well.

Not sure if you wanted a standalone to carry with the strap, or something you can insert into your bookbag or carry around by hand. Like for me, I would keep the laptop in a North Face bookbag that's pretty roomy.
