Basically I'm thorn between these 3

    Timbuk2 Command Messenger

    Slappa Kiken

    or

    Skooba Satchel v3

    What I want specifically are

    1. Comfort - since I sometimes bring 2 laptops. (don't want bruises on my shoulder)

    2. Build quality - since I"ll be using a desktop replacement laptop soon so the weight with the power brick is going to be almost 10lbs, I had the misfortune before that the metal that attaches the bag to the strap broke before and i dropped the bag which broke the laptop, don't want it to happen again.

I'd get the kiken, but that being said, you'll destroy your shoulder no matter what you do with a messenger bag if you carry two laptops if you have to travel any respectable distance with the bag on your shoulder. Simple matter of weight repartition. for what you describe, you'd be better off with a backpack.

I have the Timbuk2 and it's quite comfortable, but if you're gonna be carrying around 2 laptops you're better off with a backpack.

the middle solution would be to get sleeves for the laptops so you could carry them in whichever backpack/messenger bag you want depending on which laptop you carry and what you carry with it. Of course, then you have to shop for sleeves as well as a bag... Getting a sleeve to fit a 17" might not be easy too.

From my experience with an Asus G73, no messenger bag will allow you to comfortably carry a desktop replacement.

I highly suggest a backpack, in particular the Dell XPS backpack. They are semi hard to find, but can be bought for as much as $50.
