I've just received my W3V, and to my horror, the built in speakers are just absolutely horrible. When I read the reviews, I did not recall anything about the speakers. So I guess the only solution is external speakers.

Well, the speakers should be able to be powered from the laptop and small, since I'm gonna travel with it alot.

I saw this ALTEC LANSING Portable Speakers Model XT1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836113153
Looks pretty good judging from the reviews. Though the price is a little high. Any better suggestions? Thanks

We really liked the AL set, reviewed them about a year ago. Think Outside has a new one coming though, they've bought out the boom toob folks and are bringing them to market. You might wait for those, we will be reviewing them soon.

Thanks. And is there a way to search for speaker reviews in this site?

I'm doing a review on Creative's Travelsound Notebook 500 right now. The sound quality is pretty good, and they clip on to your notebook.

I use the Creative Labs travel sound speakers also. I forgetthe model number, but they're the older ones that just sit on the side. They work well, but they eat batteries!
