Need some input on laptop case study

All cooperation would be helpful!

I am a senior design student looking at designing a soft laptop case for on-the-go laptop users. I have some ideas going already but any input would be greatly appreciated.

bag and the sleeve. im really careful

What do you like about your current laptop case?
sleeve. best protection ever, soft and light and protects the whole laptop. made of soft nylon that can be used to
bag. fits my books and my laptop and my papers and gadgets. great all in one

What do you dislike about your current laptop case?
doesnt fit as snug or as tight. its a bit loose. but i can live with it.

Yes

If so, please describe what type of case it is:
Messenger bag with a laptop compartment, and a front compartment to hold pens, notebooks, etc. Has molle attachment points on the outside to add on new pouches.

How often is your laptop transported?
A few times a week.

What percent of the time do you use your case while transporting your laptop?
Every time.

What do you like about your current laptop case?
I love the molle points! If I ever need to carry something new I can buy a grenade or canteen pouch and throw it on there. A military dump bag is also great since they hold so much.

What do you dislike about your current laptop case?
Just not big enough. Hardly any room for my headphones and there is no hardened protection.

QWhat do I like about my case?
It is roomy enough to take all the other crap I take with me in addition to my laptop, it has orange trim that perfectly matches the orange trim on my laptop, It has plenty of padding, and its design is pretty plain, it doesn't screem "THERE IS A COMPUTER IN HERE, MUG ME!"

What do I dislike about my case?
the strap that holds the laptop secure inside the bag is velcro. I would prefer it it had some kind of latch

What do you like about your current laptop case?
It was the only top-loading notebook bag that I could find for a 15.4" notebook that also has some room for a few books or folders. Every other bag had a zipper on three sides, which means that you have to open it all up, and pack the bag fully open, just to get to the laptop or a pen in your bag. Plus it's a little different from most notebook bags out there.

What do you dislike about your current laptop case?
no carrying handle (just the shoulder strap), no zipper (just the flap that goes over the top and a weirdish system that closes the bag when you pull a cord. Similar to the ones found on some army style backbags.) and the fabric is really-really ugly and looks like it has been used for 20 years.

excellent case for business purposes. No problems as of yet. Maybe a touch heavy.

If so, please describe what type of case it is:
handmade... quilted material sewn together in case form to fit laptop, cable pocket on front, velcro flaps... usually put this into my backpack though, which has a barely protective laptop compartment.

a few times a week

What do you like about your current laptop case?
it was close to free. and made with love. and that's about it.

What do you dislike about your current laptop case?
ugly, not very protective (needs some sort of hardish plastic casing, with squishy form-fitting goodness on the inside), more pocket room/organized space for cables, pens, etc...

Do you own a case for your laptop? Yes.

If so, please describe what type of case it is: Messenger bag and a notebook sleeve. The messenger bag has lots of different sections and it very well lined. The sleeve is just some material with a zipper, lol.

How often is your laptop transported? Once or twice a week.

What percent of the time do you use your case while transporting your laptop? Always, I change whether I use the messenger bag or the sleeve depending on the situation though.

What do you like about your current laptop case? I enjoy the lining of the messenger bag, it's very soft and I feel like if I accidently hit it against the car door it won't hurt it.

What do you dislike about your current laptop case? I don't dislike anything about the sleeve, but it's only good for specific situations. The messenger bag, however, is very bulky and doesn't really comfortably fit my AC Adapter and mouse, it gives it a really unforunate bump. Also, it's awkward to carry along with my school bag and purse.

If so, please describe what type of case it is: a black Incase sleeve

How often is your laptop transported? once or twice a week out of the house, three or four times in a week around the house

What percent of the time do you use your case while transporting your laptop? whenever I go out

What do you like about your current laptop case? the sleeve - soft interior, zipper doesn't touch laptop at all, zipper pulling piece (what are those called!?) is nice and easy to use, the zipper doesn't get caught, and the whole case in general feels like a good cushion around my laptop. the messenger bag - carries everything else, has room for books

What do you dislike about your current laptop case? no pockets on the sleeve.

What do you like about your current laptop case? roomy, enough space that I can also carry a external hd, enough room for books and files

What don't you like about your current laptop case? I don't feel that my laptop is fully secure in the velcro pouch.
