    Hello folks.

I am wondering if anyone can provide some insight for me in regards to a laptop protection investment.

Specifically what I refer to are accessories to keep my laptop safe during travel, or while just sitting somewhere that people are near.

My laptop inside a case could be subject to being stepped/sat on, dropped (nothing big, but I don't like any kind of slight jolt), etc.

Is there any kind of protective case or backpack or bag for laptops that is a solid shell or casing with padding inside so as to protect against the worst?

So far I have been unable to find anything like this, just backpacks and messenger bags, but nothing that I would deem severely protective of my investment.

    Any ideas?

    This is my setup:

axio-usa.com makes hardshell backpacks. you could also consider getting aluminum laptop cases or something.

you could go for the metal briefcase o.o unbelievable protection for your notebook but looks bleh IMO.
Tom Bihn backpacks leave the notebook suspended in the brain cell so even if you drop it it won't receive the full force of the fall.
