I just got the above router delivered today and was going to set it up when I found it only came with an AOL installation CD (I’m with talk talk). Is it easy enough to download the software from the internet, if so could somebody recommend a decent site.

    Thanks in advance.

edit: also wrong section for this thread

It should of came with an instruction manual, but if not go to www.netgear.com or do this for a basic instruction.

    1) Unplug your computer's Ethernet cable from modem
    2) Plug that Ethernet cable into the router's WAN or INTERNET port
    3) Plug in another Ethernet cable into your computer and onto one of the ports on the router
    4) Type in 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 to enter configuration
    5) Find default password, be it blank or admin/admin
    6) Set up Wireless Router to your specifications, including WEP/WPA2 or whatever security measure you want to intervene.
    7) Save the settings, go into your computer that you want to set up wifi access and go into the addition of your router. Connect/configure, and your good to go.
