Hello,
I am looking to compare scanners like the Epson GT-2500 Plus ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...%202500%20plus) that have
1) a network connection for a workspace setting
2) an automatic document feeder
3) a flatbed scanner
4) duplex
5) are compatible with both Mac and PC
Any recommendations? So far, I have found only this in my price range but would like to see if there is anything else..

Unfortunately, I haven't seen anyone making a standalone scanner that feeds letter size long edge first. That makes a big difference, in my experience. I've only worked with ADF scanners integrated into copiers, but from quite a few brands. Xerox has been by far the best, Canon second. Ricoh is by far last, and Toshiba is back there, too. Konica was average, generally trouble free, but not a whole lot of fun when they aren't.
I don't know how well that translates to these standalone parts, especially since they're all short edge first. Xerox does have some parts in your price range, though. I hear Fujitsu has some good ADF scanners, too, but I know nothing about Epson's ADFs. They make some pretty impressive flatbeds in that price range, though, as far as image quality goes. -
HP makes some really nice fast duplexing network scanners, but they're $3-4k.
