Hey!
I was perusing Dell's site and found that Dell now has a branded "Dell WM311 Wireless Mouse with Nano Receiver", available in 4 Color Choices: Obsidian Black, Tomato Red, Alpine White, and Peacock Blue. Retail Price $29.99 All 4 are of a "glossy" appearance.
Right now purchase price does not include "free shipping" it's at $6.99+ Sales Tax..about $36+..
I'm going to order the Black one, just to check it out & to see how well this Nano Mouse works. (I'm thinking if I order thru Chat, I can get the Rep to throw in "free shipping") (hoping)..![]()
I like the look's of the Black one vs. the Red..that Red is well...really Red.
In the "highlights" it states: USB mini receiver with concealed, fold-up storage ~ And, in the pictures you cannot clearly see the "Nano" receiver or the storage. I look forward to seeing this, and how well the Optical Tracking works.
My MS Mobile Mouse 6000 has storage underneath for the Nano Receiver ~ but the storage is not "concealed, fold-up". It's right in the bottom of the mouse.![]()

Looks like a nice mouse, I am glad they used the nano receiver. I might pick up the black one for work, mine has a giant receiver on it.

Please post a review once you get and try it out. Looks good but without something else in the picture it is difficult to determine the size. Yes size does matter even in mice or maybe particularly in mice as with a ultra-lite computer I do not want a large mouse.

Ha, got picked up on Engadget. Nice, Cin.
Yeah, Dell has been putting out some cheap stuff lately with pretty great quality. Obviously they aren't making their own mice (at least I realllly doubt it) so I wonder who they order from. I know Alienware's stuff is rebadged Logitech. -
The question is whether this is yet another ill-conceived peripheral on 2.4 gHz.
Every wireless mouse & keyboard I've looked at is on 2.4 gHz, so they'll interfere with your wireless network. Not too smart. -
XD
(Make sure you like Glossy though)!
(The MS 6000 has a glossy appearance also).
I was able to order the Obsidian Black today (w/ free shipping)! Looking forward to checking it out.
And, yes I think most of the Mice are rebadged Logitechs!

My Obsidian Black Dell WM 311 Wireless Mouse w/Nano Receiver arrived today!
I ordered on Monday ~ that's decent shipping time for Dell!
So, far I am pleased...Here are some picture's for now. I will do a more thorough review later ~ after I have some time to "play around" with it!
The Connection was instant, of course when I plugged the Nano Receiver into my USB port. The Mouse so far, is swift & fast. The mouse is small, fit's nicely in the *palm* of my hand, and is "light and airy". It moves very well across my screen and in between windows, etc.
The storage of the Nano Receiver, is indeed "inside" the Mouse (in the center ~ in between the batt's), as are the 2 AAA Batt's. It is very easy to get access to inside. It is held together by 2 small "magentic" clips, on the top of the inside. Just a "gentle" pull at the top releases the Top of the Mouse Cover for inside access.
The "On Off" Switch is on the Bottom of the the Mouse, as is the Optical light for the Wireless. Even with the "Glossyness" on the Mouse, it is not "slippery" to the touch.
The Mouse Came with 2 AAA Batt'sThe instructions that came with the Mouse were more-less.."Pictures". lol.
Easy enough to figure out!
