Okay I don't know if this is the right place to post this but it looked like it is. I mean a table is an accessory right?
Anyway, I need a table preferably from a retail store In Australia, I can't get out of the house at the moment cause its a bit flooded were I live. My old Ikea table is stressing a bit at the edges (probably because I built it ha-ha) and I need a new one. I was thinking of a L shaped table I need a left sided return thats about 1.2 - 1.3m long and a straight part about 1.5 - 1.7m.
If possible I would like to be made out of glass or something.
have not thought of a price budget, but I'll do that later.
Once again I know its a really weird question and sorry for being so damn specific, I'll try and find some catalogues somewhere.

Mate if your up in Queensland in the flood affected areas then my sympathy is with you.
In reference to your table, I've seen a couple of tables at Fantastic Furniture (Not sure if that's only VIC or not).
I'd recommend just checking your main furniture outlets online catalogs, I'm guessing the pictures will give a better outline as to whats actually on offer.
As far as us looking for you, for one I can't really help as I'm from VIC, but it's also a personal preference so your opinion matters most -
If you've got an IKEA nearby (?) you could check out the Galant desk. Love mine!

Yea its flooded around here, I have to keep draining the damn pool everyday, the house is on a hill so I can get into the "main" part of the city...nevermind just started raining again ha-ha.
I might build my own, I was never good at wood art at school heh. -

Dont worry building a desk is the easiest thing in the world. Piece of wood and some legs.
I use L brackets to mount it to the wall. -
Well If I do build a new one I probably wont be using L brackets to connect to the wall, its a old house so its probably going to fall over haha.
I'll go both ikea and fantastic and see what they have, thanks guys. -

I did my own table couple years ago. If it is possible to re-use your current IKEA table legs you could save some cash there. I just didn't find any stock tables to be either big enough or cheap enough.
That setup is super simple. I have one picture there underside, showing how I connected the table parts together and used rack rails as support. No special skills needed.
Next upgrade would be adding couple drawers. I haven't yet decided if I wanted something with wheels or drawers big enough to replace some of those legs and let the table top rest on them. I should have thought drawers earlier, now all stuff gathers on table itself
Glass as wanted material certainly puts some challenges, cannot screw underside supports that easily as I did. Anyways, maybe you can use this for ideas -

Mine does not even have "legs" per say.
Its about 3' deep and 9' wide.
The far left and center of it use a 2 drawer file cabinet for support. This effectively emulates having drawers on a real desk. In the back wall I have a few l brackets here and there where there is a stud in the wall to screw them into. The right side has no support to the ground at all just the l brackets since its against the wall and that is where the PC sits under the desk.
Its just counter top style but I probably like it more than any pre-made desk and its the perfect size taking my entire wall and being deep enough to hold all my goodies.
I'll get some new pictures sometime soon as I have changed it up some and I'll show the drawers and the rest of the desk farther back at a wide angle. -

Wow Vicious, thats a hardcore gaming den there haha. I might be able to re-use my ikea table legs i'll have to take it apart and all that. Thanks for the suggestion guys been really helpful.
+ rep to Vicious and KFL for going above and beyond -
Since cutting was included in price, I chose to have one perfect square bit and then cut rest in two identical pieces. That way I can do different setups if I feel I need a changeThose parts wouldn't have fit in my car without cutting either

Thanks guys for all the suggestions I'll be making sure to compile and double check my wishlist.
In other news had to move the horses yesterday, looks like the dirt road to the paddock is going to collapse just completely and wash away. Floods receeding in the northern parts of the state, looks like its moving south I predict thats it going to go past Brisbane and hit areas around there. It may hit the Gold Coast, in which case most of it will be screwed alot of it is low-lying flood prone areas.
There is also floods developing in northern NSW near Grafton, its just amazing how fast this can move and devastate. -

Yeah counter top is good if you find something you like. I could not find any flat planks only the prefab stuff with the back and curved front. It was also more expensive than just MDF like I used.
Ended up looking like a countertop though since I did put my own back and side walls on and a marble design lol. -
