    What is the difference between the new and old G5?
    All i know is that the new one has an extra button.
    Is the DPI any different?

    The only difference is the extra thumb button on the new G5 otherwise they are exactly the same except the new one might be more expensive.

    I read somewhere the new one has 1000 usb reports instead of 500. But i dont even know what that means :(

    The old one also has 1000 USB reports per second, thats what I have mine set at in the logitech setpoint software and it says it on the box.
