Well I went out today and got a new keyboard and mouse. Got a backlit Logitech keyboard, I have been killing for these for a while, I love being able to have my lights off and see the keys clearly, one of the better computer purchases ive made.

I also go the Logitech G9 gaming mouse, got it for $70 open box, retails for $130 here. I wasnt really hard-set on a wired mouse but I really like it, very responsive, and to be honest, I think bluetooth and wireless is flaky and over-rated.

Anyone else have the same mouse, comments?

Retails 90 new on newegg. Never look at bestbuy for an honest price.

Yes BB sucks for most things, I only buy open box or on sale from there, plus I needed it ASAP so I didnt have much choice.

Hahah silly me, fixed, thanks :)

I used to own a G9. It was a good mouse, but I don't really need 3,200 DPI; I'm more of a low-sensitivity/high-speed gamer, so I ended up getting a Razer DeathAdder, which is primarily what I use now.

I know what your saying, the super crazy DPI settings are too much for me as well, I usually only have it up half way, maybe 3 quarters on COD:Waw if im sniping, but other than that im pleased with it so far. Molded perfect ot my hand, and the scroll wheel is good as well.

Congratulations on the purchase narsnail, I'm using a G9x myself and it's a nice mouse to use even outside of gaming. Although the DPI settings aren't as high as other alternatives, it's stable regardless which DPI setting you have on.

The G9 is the best mouse that I've owned.

I recently got the G19 keyboard as well and like it so far.

Im really enjoying it so far, I just cannot believe some of the things included with it, like weights? WTH! I could never see myself using weights on my mouse, haha, that just kind of made me chuckle, I guess it is a gaming mouse though.

Ew, Logitech - shoulda bought Razer. ;)

J/K, congrats on the devices. They are quite expensive though. Experiment with the mouse weights; some people prefer a heavier mouse and vice versa.

Actually I threw in the weights, just to try em out, and I like the mouse a little heavier, so its not as silly as i thought

I always used my old G9 without weights. I love how light my new DeathAdder is, too. :D

    prefer light mouse...

actually i set the DPI up to 4000 on my lachesis..but lower the windows pointer speed...
dunno what makes difference with low dpi + high pointer speed... :p
