    neaL_ ... it should fit fine? I saw some pictures of other laptops on other coolers and I think it's okay if the laptop is bigger than the cooler and sits off the edges.

    Just my guess though...man I can't wait until this thing comes out :D

    neaL_...yeah I was confused too as they show a black and silver version, but the black version only has 2 fans...I'm guessing they put the wrong picture up.

    Oh well...

    I'm guessing this is for a home application? Cuz i can't imagine myself lugging that huge thing around. But then again if i'm just going to place the laptop on the table and watch it like a TV. Might as well move to a more robust system like my desktop. Pretty pointless if you need to place a LAPtop on a table to watch movie or play game.

    Well, not everyone has a second computer for a desktop and not everyone uses there notebook on their lap 24/7. So there is a point to get one for the DTR notebooks that run hot, which is also why there is a market for notebook coolers.

    It's still in the box because my 5720 won't be here until Monday. I got it from Amazon for $31.99 shipped. It's the silver model with 2 fans.

    is the 300mm depth measure taken for the whole pad, or just the area where the notebook sits?

    I'd like to add some extra cooling, but I cannot have the back end sticking out, becuase the "feet" will be off the pad, and my notebook will lay flat on the pad blocking the fan vents on my computer!

    But I wanna get the black three fan edition. Hope you didn't get the normal model and actually got the Widescreen model, since your notebook as well as mine is widescreened.

    It's still not released, so umm....yeah

    qwester...the Widescreen ones are supposed to fit 17" laptops as well so I wouldn't be too worried about the back end sticking out as these are new models to include widescreened gigantore laptops of the new age. :D

    it is a problem for me. because with my gigantore being 11.6" deep, that's around 30cm, the back end feet might easily end up of of the pad! And if that happens the 2 fan vents on the bottom will be completely blocked when the unit rests on its belly.

    My problem is that my HDD is toasting when I am running some intensive applications for prolonged times (hours). The CPU is remaining reasonably cool, thanx to the well designed cooling system on this fujitsu, but the HDD isn't doing so well. I just need something to circulate the air on the underside!

    I wonder if I can find some fan that takes in air from top and just blows it under the laptop, like this one but wider, so that I don't end up with my laptop rocking around: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834996501

    Oh yeah that's kinda neat...remember you could always make your own and customize...maybe get one of those Blower fans, the long ones, and glue on a little platform for it so it just blows crazy air on the underside of your lappy...hrmm that's an idea
