Hey everybody... I am new here.\
I am on my new, and my first, laptop. It's an hp Pavilion ze2000, AMD Proccessor, ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M.
I need suggestions on buying case, a pocket mouse and security lock.
    So any suggestion?
    Thanks.
BTW: Should I plug the AC Adaptor in when using it at home? With the batteries on?
    Thanks again.

That looks good. I can even use my mail-in rebate stuff for that. :)

    Thanks...
First time enjoying surfing even on my bed :p
    It's a 15" monitor.
Some questions: There is this slot on the left side that I can oull out apart from the computer... is it for expansion? And my notebook detacted the home's wireless network, isn't it strange?

The PCMCIA slot? There is only a limited amount of things to use for that though.

Nothing weird with finding a wireless network. I find 5 when I'm at home :p

    What is that slot for?
ANyway... do I need to setup the network? Hmmm if it is that easy to detect... won't we worry about security?

The slot is mainly used for expansion cards. Like if your laptop didnt come with internal wireless card, you can purchase an external card and have wireless capability. Similarly there are external PCMCIA hard drives, you can also get get extra ports(USB,firewire) if you need more than what is built into the laptop.

You can setup encryption on your router(check your router manual for instructions on how to do this) which will generate a pass code which you enter in your laptop when you connect to your network. There are other measures like allowing only specific pre-determined computers from logging on to your network and also by disabling the network broadcast(the network is hidden from view but it will still be broadcasting - wont stop a determined hacker but will discourage a pesky neighbor from using your network)

    Oh I see...
I feel that Im kinda far behind lol... my little bro plugged in a network card without hesitation lol... anyway I don't think I need that slot for now

Well one bad thing is that this notebook only has a USB port.

And one tech question: There's one button labelled "fn" in blue... for me to use the alternative functions of other button. But some don't seem to work, noticably the alternative numpad... do you have any idea?
    Thanks for sharing.

Sorry for the delayed response but the Fn key should also work for the alternative numpad. It does on my Compaq which shares a similar keyboard with the ze series.

It doesn't seem to work for me though... is it the driver problem?
