    Hey guys, how is going?

So i'm buying a laptop and i need a new mouse, back in Brazil i had and still have a logitech MX310 that i don't change for any other mouse in earth( http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-MX-310-Optical-Mouse/dp/B0000A1GOF), the funny thing is that back in 2006 i paid 150dollars on it hahahah, Brazil taxes are high. But now i need something similar but without the cables...i really liked its shape, the bottons to go back and foward at internet, and the scrow that alowed me to open new tabs at firefox.I don't now what is better, optical or laser i just really want something like this one for gaming and normal use, so i think that i need a good precision right? The shape anything like that is perfect for both gaming(35% of time) and normal(65%) use.Does any one have any ideas?

    Thanks everyone!
    Lucas

The new Logitech G500 might be worth a look, the ability to use the mouse on nearly any surface is great for work and its gaming performance isn't too shabby either.

Not trying to steal your thread, but I'm looking for something similar with bluetooth. I find having a usb dongle is inconvenient and since my laptop has bluetooth I might as well use it.

(bursoni, at your request I can remove this post if you don't want it here.)

    Thanks

+1 for G500. The shape is awesome, excellent performance and good control. This is really worth its price!

If you want wireless, the Logitech G7 should do nicely.

Razer Orochi Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse $70

Amazing mouse in case you want to go the bluetooth route, check the user reviews there and youtube, if i ever go wireless (i doubt it) probably will be my top pic.

This is more a personal preference, some say a wireless mouse will never be as good in response time as wired, most hardcore gamers used wired. Now i have a lot of friends that do use wireless/bluetooth and they say its fine, if you go into wireless try a good one.

Both of the following are very well regarded, and atm are lower than usual.
    Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX $59
    Logitech Performance Mouse MX $69

An LCD will never be as good in response time as a CRT, yet most people are using LCDs nowadays.

Similarly to LCD vs CRT, it's a comparison of convenience vs performance. For me, personally, wireless doesn't have enough of a convenience advantage to justify the extra cost and slight performance sacrifice. I definitely wouldn't pay the extra $50 for a Razer Mamba over the Imperator, for example. Indeed, my favourite mouse is the DeathAdder, which costs $60. I'd be willing to pay ~$80 for a wireless DeathAdder, i.e. assuming the performance is pretty much the same, but no such thing exists.

There is NO difference in wire or wireless mode on the Mamba. Yeah it's that good. For me it's well worth the money.

im sure that's true... but is it noticeably so?

i game with my performance MX and it's all good... have been using only wireless...
i do notice that it acts funny when i'm using it near my store cashier and the laser beam seems to make the cursor go wild.

one thing about the performance MX..

it has a mini dongle... it's definitely a plus.
it also has a cable you can connect to keep the rechargable battery (provided) constantly charged.

but the rechargable battery life is very short... i use regular batteries or aftermarket rechargeable batteries... it's all good...

    did i say very comfy?

I can imagine someone hacking your computer by shining the scanner at the receiver and then typing in the commands to purchase a pair of socks.

yep like daddyd said there no diffrence from wired too wireless on the mamba :)

i mosty allways use wireless with my mamba just when the batterys go dead i use the wire till its charged. im also a hardcore gamer so i would know any bit of lag or latecy issue.

pretty much the best mouse i ever had! and too me was well worth the price.

The TactX mouse is on sale from Dell.com for <strike>$49</strike>(now $79) which is half off, not too shabby a mouse for that price.
