I've been wanting to pick up the z2300 for a few weeks now and I was searching for places to buy until a best buy salesperson told me that the product had been discontinued. I then searched online for hours but could find nothing about a new upgrade to the z2300 coming out except for something about logitechs smaller speaker upgrades that just came out -

So I called logitech to see if they would tell me something and they confirmed that a new z2300 is coming out but they only could tell me that it might come out in the next 6 months. Anyone else know anything about the z2300 coming out? And should I wait until they come out or get the discontinued z2300 at a discount price??

According to the article, the z2300 would be equivalent to the new Z523 2.1 speaker system. The satellites of the z2300 is 40 RMS and sub is 120 RMS. The article mentions the Z523 also has 40 RMS but it doesn't say if it includes the sub power also (if it does the z2300 are more powerful of course).
I was actually going to get a z2300 2.1 system but opted for the logitech X-540 5.1 system (not quite as powerful) because i live upstairs and the sub on the z2300 is freakin huge.
The z2300 are selling on Amazon for $115 and Newegg for $130. Too bad they are out of stock at best buy because they usually put it on sale at least once a month. I got my X-540's when they dropped to $80 at best buy.
The article mentions the Z523's will start at $100, which is actually cheaper than the z2300's right now. They are supposed to sport better technology as far as sweet spots, so I would wait if i were you.
New upgrade to z2300 speakers soon?
