Very awesome concept

hmmm...looks interesting enough. it looks like they did really listen to all of our complaints and added a on/off button. i'll reserve my comments until i have the X60 in my hands and get to mess with it.
as of now, the fully aluminum Cryo LX still holds a special place in my heart. -
the one with the hole in the middle...is it like a dyson fan or something?
-
I think its the same concept. I hope they don't get in trouble with dyson's patent. It looks like cheap plastic though.
Aluminum all the way. -
Hey, if my laptop needs to take a dump...
-
more like a downgrade.
-
that would totally suck because of how phenomenal the Cryo LX was. i'm kind of afraid of this as well because how many ppl complained about the Cryo LX's price when it first came out. it was priced that much for a reason. it was simply the best cooler in the market that offered something no other cooler could. now, everyone is willing to pay upwards of $100 for one when they are discontinued.
please, NZXT, don't cop out. -
My CRYO LX is still going strong and still my favorite laptop cooler of all time.
These new designs look OK but will be interesting to see how these new coolers perform, especially the toilet seat cover one.
Excuse me have the urge to go to the bathroom. -

The one with the hole will suck, the air comes out in a circular pattern leaving a huge dead spot right in the middle probably where you need it the most.
The second one has a ton of vents and looks good, probably will work well but cant tell for sure until use and seeing the fan layout/configuration. -
one thing i loved about the Cryo LX was the special designed rubber surface on top of the cooler. it helped channel air to the front of the laptop where HDD, RAM, and WiFi would be. it made it so versatile that it could cool pretty much any laptop, regardless of the vent setup.
again, i can't really comment on something that i haven't tried, or seen, yet though. i guess the only thing i can do is stay hopeful. -
I kind of hated my Cryo. My M1530 refused to stay put on top.
-
The hole cooler seems to be taking the design from one of the pointless dyson fans. Don't think it's good, and probably low airflow
-
my M1530 loved my Cryo LX.
the surface is so big, all u have to do is just find the right spot for the M1530 to sit. -
I never could. It would just keep sliding forward until it slipped off.
-
I really want to know when will this product be released. I really need a cooling pad. I don't know what's the next best pad to the Cryo LX
-
if u're into the "gamer" look, and don't mind the noise level, the SF-19 is a beast in it's own right.
-
Sorry to hijack, but if you still have your M1530 could you possible snap a picture for me where's you put it ontop of your Cryo LX? Wondering if I should get one now that I've overclocked both GPU and CPU.. a matter of time before the machine dies, just want to help it with the temps though
-
I looked this up and very impressive. But, just like the Cryo LX, this product is out of stock everywhere else. I'm talking about the Strike Force version (all black).
Just my luck. -
You can swap the fans, try one of the noctua lineups (although color is somewhat crap), some people in the desktop discussion lounge says it's really silent
-
I hope the X60 is available soon. I have the Cooler Master U3 but I think I will return it. I'm not that impressed with the airflow even though the fans can be moved. Plus my laptop slides down the cooler after awhile.
I'm also curious how much air the V60 is able to move. -
I am waiting for the X60 as well. NZXT is known to make very good products and since it is a successor of the Cryo LX, I assume it is better.
-
So I took your suggestion and got it yesterday. The cooler looks nice and built sturdy. I don't mind the noisy fan noise but my only conern is that when I put the laptop on top of the cooler, the whole thing starts to vibrate and give a very faint rattling noise.
-
i don't own the SF-19, so maybe this will help:

they are back in stock in america > http://forum.notebookreview.com/accessories/670826-nzxt-cryo-lx-now-available.html
-
sf-19 was way too loud and didn't really improve cooling over my cryo lx, so i returned it.
-
I'm confused. Which model is supposed to be the gaming-grade cooler?
And in the pictures, the m14x fits fine, but for something like the m17x or m18x, the fans are going to be positioned completely wrong....
Okay so are either of these coolers meant to replace the Cryo LX? Like is there going to be a new and improved version of the Cryo LX? I'm thinking of buying the Cryo LX but I don't want to buy it now if there's something better coming so soon...
No wonder the NXZT Cryo LX was discontinued
