Hey guys
I have a z96js with an extended battery which sticks out the back. the dimensions are 14.5 x 11.5. Does anyone know if the Northface Surge or the Northface Sure Shot Will fit it?
Does anyone have these two backpacks and could they give a quick review on how they are in terms of comfort and storage capacity? Thanks!

I just picked up a North Face "Bandwidth" daypack for carrying my 14.1" Acer. It is basically one inch smaller in each dimension than the Sure Shot with a similar layout http://www.thenorthface.com/opencms/opencms/tnf/gear.jsp?site=NA&model=AM6D&language=en and a laptop the dimensions of your would definitely fit although the 11.5" dimension would be a tight squeeze getting in and out of the laptop sleeve. But once inside it would be fine. So either of those will fit I'm pretty sure.
My "Bandwidth" is quite comfortable. It's a big enough pack that it's tempting to put 15-16 pounds of junk into it in which case it wouldn't be quite so easy on the shoulder but for daily use it's around 7-9 pounds and I hardly know it's there. I wanted a pack handy enough for everyday use but capable of carrying laptop, accessories and an overnight change of clothes onto an airplane. One thing I like about the "Bandwidth" compared to the other largish North Face daypacks is that the waist belt is totally removable. Waist straps are a total nuisance for daily use going back and forth to work, etc. -
I've got a NF Heckler and it fits my G1S perfectly fine. It JUST fits width-wise, but it still fits nontheless. Any wider (17in notebook) and it would be a tight squeeze.
I had pictures up a few months ago if you want to look for them. -
just bought the heckler for school and my laptop!
anyone have first hand experience with this backpack? -
I have the North Face Surge backpack for my Sager 2090. I like this backpack because it has enough room for a laptop and books. At first it was hard to put the laptop into the laptop pocket, but after using it a lot and breaking it in, it became easier to fit the laptop.

Ive also been looking for a backpack, but a lot of them especially the Swiss Army back parks are huge. And on the other side some are way to small for my computer and my books. Frustrating.
