Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a backpack capable of holding a 14.1" notebook, DSLR w/ two lenses and maybe a couple of folders or books. I was looking at Lowepro Fastpack 250 and it seems to fit the bill but I'm a bit concerned about it being able to hold a couple of folders or books. As far as the bag goes, I don't want it to be massive either, which is another one of my concerns.

If anyone would like to chime in with their suggestions or recommendations that would be great! :D

    I don't think you'll get anything dedicated...

    Laptop + folder works

    Only DSLR works

But not both - they are such different areas that manufacturers won't make a dedicated backpack.

Your best bet might be a large rucksack (e.g. walking) and putting the laptop in a sleeve.

Personally I manage to cram a DSLR and a laptop into a messenger bag - e.g. for flights to Germany.

Hmm, ok, I'll check those suggestions out. I guess it would be best to see a few in person. I'll visit the store soon. :)

Crumpler have several such models, but they are pricey. Worth a look though.

A netbook makes a great DSLR companion with its small size and long battery life, it can fit into a DSLR bag... just thought I would throw that out there.

For me personally its computer stuff in one bag and picture stuff in the other. The 17" powerhouse is not something for me to carry about with the camera, a netbook however is a lot better in both terms of size/weight and also not nearly as big of a loss if something happens on a trip.
