I have an NP9280 on order, and I'm looking for a good case for it. After doing quite a bit of searching on the 'net, I've narrowed it down to Targus and Wenger as case manufacturers. Does anyone have experience with the Wenger Yukon case or the Targus XL? I can't decide between the two.

    Thanks!

Hey I also just ordered that beauty. I am also interested in finding a carrying case.

Have a look at the Swissgear Ibex or the Swissgear Pegasus. My friend has the Pegasus for his D901C and it fits in the compartment just fine. It won't fit in the boot though...

If you need to fit in a cooler as well e.g. Zalman NC2000, it won't fit. The Targus TXL617 may be what you need instead.

I am looking for a carrying case with a shoulder strap instead of a backpack. Is there anything out there?

Same here. I'm more interested in a carrying case with shoulder strap as well.

Man purses and 5kg+ laptops with a power brick and miscellanies do not go well together.

I second Hirohata's suggestion. I use my Wenger Ibex whenever I take my 17 incher with me. The Ibex can easily fit my notebook with its Zeroshock in the main compartment. Adding up all the other necessities and school books, the Ibex can make a 10kg load feel much lighter.
