I want to buy a notebook cover- well, it's more of a keyboard cover, for the Inspiron 6400. I emailed Dell to ask if the cover for the 6000 or any other model would fit this one since they don't have one specifically made for the 6400. The first email I sent was ignored, and the answer I got to my second email was that they didn't have the resources to answer my question. Soo. Anyone have any information that's a bit more helpful than theirs?

that's what the notebook cover looks like, if that helps at all.

    Thanks!

you could get that, dell's laptop keyboards don't really change. whats the purpose of the cover that you're looking for? will you keep it on the keyboard to protect the keyboard from spills and fingers and what not? if thats the case then nm, though i personally wouldn't let something that looks like that spend regular time on my keyboard :D

"The notebook shown in the image is sold separately." - That kills the deal for me.

Lol I know, I wonder how many people would be demanding the laptop in the picture for 13 dollars if they didn't put that caption there. I can hear them now...

And thank you KidA.. yes, it's to protect the keyboard from spills. Maybe fingerprints, but I don't really care about that. It does look a little goofy, but if you knew how clumsy i was it would seem like a good idea.

Its not a bad idea and cheaper than a warranty to have it fixed when you spilt something (I've had mine fixed after someone spilt soda through keyboard)
