I am purchasing a laptop with both USB and Bluetooth. Tonight I will be by Best Buy and I have a best buy bucks coupon I have to use this weekend. What would be a good full size mouse to buy either USB or wireless bluetooth for around $50? I don't want a wireless that needs a dongle.

You might look at the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse 4000 or 6000.
I have the 4000 and it is great. It is a full size mouse, but the USB adapater attaches to the underside of the mouse, so you don't have a dongle. It uses 1-AA battery for power, and has lasted me about 6 months with normal usuage.

You could also take a look at the Logitech v270. It's a bluetooth notebook mouse. Very simple in style and it comes with a neoprene case and batteries.

I just recieved my first laptop last night (e1505) and I bought the Logitech V270. I can't speak for battery life, I like it so far. It's responsive, and since the e1505 has built in bluetooth, it's automatically recognized when I boot my PC (at least it was last night, haven't tried booting after I turned the mouse off).

I noticed yesterday that it doesn't work with Media Direct though, but I bought the remote for MCE also, and it works great with Media Direct, so I guess that's no biggie.

I've got my e1505 on order. I have bluetooth also. I keep hearing about media direct. What is it?

Media Direct is a way to view media files directly without booting into windows. It is it's own system, and I would imagine it uses less resources, so you could probably use the battery longer with it than with Windows.
