I recently bought a latitude d620 and am experiencing heat issues- I decided that a notebook cooler would be best and was thinking about getting an Antec Notebook cooler - does anyone have any experience with using this cooler? I was reading reviews on the cooler and several people mentioned not using it on laptops with fans on the bottom and I'm not sure if that applies to the D620? Any help would be greatly appreciated (in addition to suggestions of other coolers?)

I thought about buying a cooler for my D620 as well until I upgraded the BIOS. I've noticed that versions A03 and A04 have lowered the overall temperatures of my computer (even running at "maximum performance"). See what version your BIOS is and if it's A02 or earlier, see if the newest BIOS helps with the cooling.

Also, I believe the fan takes in air from the side and bottom of the D620 and expels it out of the rear vent; the Antec cooler takes air from the top - a bad combination of air flow.

Though it's admittadely a bit chintzy looking, the bytecc cooler does the job. The design and the aluminium construction by itself is enough to lower the temps and you can reverse tha fans which is nice.

Thanks so much for the replies! I'm going to check my bios version and update if necessary to see if it helps..it's frustrating that almost all the notebook coolers have mixed reviews but I will look into the bytecc cooler as well. Thanks!
