So the fans on my Vantec LapCool 2 are starting to make too much noise after only 6 weeks of use. There's no dust... I just probably got a lemon. Anyway, I'm looking for another notebook cooler, but one that'll fit my laptop better. I've got the double capacity battery and as some of you may know, it lifts the back of the laptop up about an inch. I was leaning toward the Coolermaster NotePal, till I realized that the battery will block the right fan. Anyone have any suggestions? I use my laptop for about 10 hours a day at work and definitely need additional cooling.

Hmmm... doesn't anyone else have the 12 cell battery for their V2000 series and a notebook cooler?

Did you ever find anything? I'm poking around the internet right now for a cooler since I'm in the same position you were in 2005.
