I want to buy a skin for my laptop. I tried the HP skinning website, they are asking $35 for a skin. I was wondering if there are cheaper places. And what kind of material do they print their skin on. I have a HP dv9000 17" laptop.
    Thanks

HP uses SkinIt, a very popular skin manufacturer. You can also try www.Schtickers.com

go directly to the manufacturer -> www.skinit.com

So far I've bought around 4 phone skins from them - they're all high quality and *Really* adds personality to your devices (i.e. I didn't believe it would do anything other than make a device pretty-ish).

Phone skins start at $14 USD I think, skins for the Nintendo Wii are $30 something and I think the laptop ones sound just about right.

But really, skins are mostly for special occassions (i.e. surprising your girl/boyfriend) by getting them a little something nice for their phone, etc. Or complimenting a new gift to your loved ones/friends :)

..at least that's what they are for me - personally, I would've never bought any if it wasn't for my gf and wanting to surprise her (since she's artsy and likes pretty things)

But yea, they look nice, a little pricey for a guy who isn't over the top on device asthetics, but if it's for a gift - it'd be more than nice :)

There are reviews of both skinit and schtickers on the site; use the search.
