    Hi

    I need a good notebook sleeve for my HP Pavilion dv6qte (15.6 inches). I need a good sleeve which can absorb shocks, prevent the laptop from getting scratches and also plan to use it to store the laptop and protect it from dust.
    My laptop dimensions are ---> 14.88in x 1.224in x 9.71in (W x H x D)

    I am looking at this one ---> Case Logic 15-16 Laptop Sleeve > Laptop Sleeves > Case Logic

    Its made of EVA foam and not neoprene (like others). I think the foam rubber will do a better job at resisting shocks. It also seems to have good padding on edges. Its 20.91$ on Amazon.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

    Case Logic makes great sleeves :) That one should work nicely.

    Have you thought of Belkin? Here is a nice one

    I use a Belkin sleeve similar to that for my lappy & I also use some economically priced sleeves you can find from meritline.

    Here is one made by HP:

    I deliberately selected that case logic sleeve because its made of EVA foam unlike most other sleeves which are made of neoprene. I think the EVA foam is like some foam rubber and it will give better protection to the notebook than neoprene. I dont think neoprene sleeves provide much protection. I also read that it gives off some smell. If you look at the prices, the sleeve I selected costs more than the ones you recommended. Does that suggest that EVA foam is better than neoprene?

    Can you take a look at the pics of the sleeve I selected from CaseLogic website. You will get an idea of the quality of that sleeve. I've never owned a sleeve before. Maybe I made a bad choice.

    Built NY makes the best sleeves. Hands down. Best protection, most stylish, best design/ergonomics, and decent prices to boot.

    I think that is a good choice. It has good reviews and I believe it will provide the protection you are looking for. As said, Case Logic makes great sleeves and are very reliable.

    Here it is at amazon:

    There is only 1 review on amazon. There are 2 reviews on case logic site and both are positive. Hopefully I'll post the second review on amazon.

    I hadn't seen any negative reviews, which is always a good thing. Look forward to viewing your feedback on it.
