Does anybody know of any decent sounding, not too large, notebook speakers that most will most definitely work on 64bit Vista?

All speakers will work with vista.

    :S

As long as they plug into the soundcard there should be no problems, the only time i can think you might get incompatibility is with usb speakers.

P.s. My logitech Z-5500's sound great, I recommend them. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/74753

I've read a few reviews on amazon where reviewers have complained about certain speaker systems not working with vista.

Wow - that's a great deal on those logitech speakers.

Try getting the Edifier MP220 Portable Speakers. They are very light, decent sounding, value-for-money, and come with a ton of accessories. It costed me only about $20USD to get one and they can play pretty much do the job on any of your DVD's or computer audio which your notebook speakers just can't handle.

Also, they can be ether USB or AC powered, and the package comes with adapters for both, as well as a carrying sleeve and a plastic stand.

    Check it out here: http://www.edifier.com/eng2005/product/s0008_00.htm

Logitech V20's which gets its sound signals and powered by USB are compatible with Vista. Any notebook speaker that uses the headphone output will be compatible as well.

This is true. I have a pair of V20s and they work just as well on my friend's vista laptop as they do on my XP.

They sound better on my computer though, because I have better taste in music. :p

Well, I just bought a pair of JBL Duets so I'll see how they work out. If I'm unimpressed I'll take them to work and buy something with a sub for home.
