I have a dv6t quad edition and i was wondering which cooler would be better for my laptop?
-
just get the u3...the only difference is the fans.
-
Isnt the u3 a lot larger? I have a 15.6 inch laptop, will it accomodate it better?
-
i have the notepal u3. it is huge and i find it hard to carry around.
no backpack of mine can carry it
keep in mind it is not only long, but also very wide -
-
sizes are 14 inch, 15, 17

If you have plans to lug it around, go the U2 unless you have a case that can accomodate an 18 inch laptop (although it is a 17 inch cooler you should allow extra room for scratch resistance). To be honest download speedfan and if your HDD doesn't exceed 50 degrees in normal use then the extra fans won't really be an advantage.

The U2 and U3 are great cooling platforms with subpar fans. U3 comes with a fan speed controller, U2 does not.
The size of a U2 is such that it will almost perfectly fit the bottom of the current MBP 15 with half inch of overhanging edges on either side. Add an extra 1-1.5" parameter all around the U2 and you get the size of the U3.
Here's a vid to show you the size of the U2:
