Ok I have an hp g62 with 1366x768 screen and I just got a 1080p AOC 21.5 LED monitor and what a difference I tell ya. I have on problem tho. Now that I have a better screen to look at I notice that my laptop screen colors are off compared to the new monitor the greys look alittle more purple then the new screen. Never knew this before cause I had nothing else to compare it to. How to do get the colors to match? I dont want to change anything on the new monitor cause the colors look more true so how can I adjust the laptop colors to match. Thanks

Unfortunately, you need something like a Spyder calibrator or something similar, especially between different brands of monitors. Otherwise, you can try just matching colors by eye, but that's kinda hard

Most of it probably has to do with the monitor being an all-around better display than the laptop. Depending on whether the laptop has Nvidia/AMD graphics, you could try going into the Nvidia Control Center/Catalyst Control Center and fiddling with the color settings from there.

Thanks but that is 249 dollars for that. I can just by another monitor and dual screen like that instead of dual screen with the laptops built in monitor and separate monitor. It has ati graphics card in it may see if I can do something with that. I am almost finish building my custom pc so I will need another AOC monitor of the same type and model anyways so I hope catalyst control center will do for now.

Even with a calibrator, you cant make typical low end laptop TN screen look like a IPS screen.

Also the color difference will definitely get on your nerves as you learn to see the differences even more

How can these Korean 27" IPS monitors only cost $350 ? (Are they stolen?)

S-IPS 2560x1440 (you can find different models/monitors on ebay)
basically Dell/Apple gets a huge margin on their 2560x1440 monitors...
These $350 monitors prolly have less functionality (no thunderbolt/USB), and maybe lower grade / QC process or dead pixels, but still cheap
friend got 2... first one had dead pixels... second one was perfect(different ebay seller/product)
