OCZ NIA...FTW?
First off, I scoured NBR and could only find one thread started on this discussion a ways back. Needless to say, I am SHOCKED!How has the community avoided such a topic as this? This is big. Like USB 1.1 to 2.0...maybe even bigger!!
It would seem from lots of reviews, this product should be taking off more. Not to mention at only $110 (with rebate) and free shipping from newegg, these things should be flying off the shelves and being adressed in the community more...at least...that's how I feel.
This technology isn't new (unless you consider the last two decades or so as new...so, the entire stretch of my lifetime, ha-ha). But, it's a first-step into the consumer hands at an affordable price, which would appear to work.
How good is it? I don't know, I don't have one. The potential is vast, however. Even if all you could do was get down a single muscle twitch to fire your AWP in a round of CS:S, the increased reaction speed would be enough to make you bloody lethal!! I wouldn't trust my mind/twitching/etc to control my mouse movements (to precise, the technology isn't there yet, as indicated from the medical uses with paralyzed people [they have difficulty, though it does work]). But, some hotkeys, heck yea!
Alright, I'm acting a bit too excited, I apologize. I just wanted to say how shocked I am with the lack of coverage on a frontier of technology that could do-away with keyboards and mice one day....I don't see that happening (at least not for the longest time), but as the review I linked earlier said, it sure would make for a nice "supplement" to our computing/gaming.
So...what do you think...OCZ NIA FTW!?

in the future when it perfects, yes!
currently, no. -

You don't think it would be able to "supplement" gameplay right now?
I picture this as, at this moment, potentially improving our gaming ability more so than a new headset would (e.g. hearing footsteps slightly more clearly) or having a keyboard with gold-connectors (slightly quicker reactions). Hmmmm. -
It's too imprecise atm to be considered a viable replacement for a mouse...
Ocz Nia...ftw?
