So, after lusting after the 8510p for so long, I finally broke down, took a major left and ordered the dv9500t. Now I have to order a new laptop bag to carry it.

Has anyone had any success with the Ogio backpacks and the dv9000t series? I'm looking at the Politan model which is supposed to fit 17" models. I've had the Ogio Metroid for about a year now and I'm VERY happy with it but it will not fit anything larger than a 15.4".

Now that I have received my dv9500t I can testify that it does fit in the main compartment of the OGIO Metroid, but certainly not the side loading laptop compartment. I wouldn't recommend using it in this configuration however as there is no padding at the base of the main pocket and the edges are tight against the zippers so setting it down to hard or smacking into a wall could crack the edges. I'm waiting for the OGIO Politan to show up now...

Got my OGIO Politan today from eBags and the dv9500t fits perfectly. It's the ONLY OGIO backpack I found that fits it. The Immix advertises that it will fit a 17" in it's side loading pocket but it would not fit the 9500 or my friends older Dell 17".

I got mine yesterday, and this bag is awesome. Fits my Dell 1520 with a 9 cell (which adds about 3/4") perfectly! Originally ordered a North Face Surge but it didn't fit, so I had to return it!

Yeah, this is the one I picked up - the Copper:

The colors I've seen online are really washed out compared to the actual product. My friend has the Blue/Tan version and those colors are much darker as well. The bag looks much better in person.

Yeah I got indigo. Looks awesome. I was hoping it'd be darker than the one at eBags, so I was satisfied! :p Glad I didn't pick the plain black. Spent like 30 minutes deciding, haha.

I know what you mean, we spent the better part of an afternoon checking out the Sport Chalet's in our area since they carry part of the OGIO line. They only carried the black though, glad I held out for some color.
