Hello folks. I hate to bog down this forum with another "what mouse should I get thread" but I just don't see any other way around it! The more I look into it, the more baffling it gets!
My most important priority of a mouse to me is comfort. I know that it is a subjective term, but are there any mice that are well renown with this trait or just what you personally find to be incredibly comfortable. If it helps, my hands are medium-ish to large in size, I don't think a small mouse would feel comfortable after using for a while.
Second, wireless would be nice (USB or Bluetooth)
Third, $75 or less please (if there is something highly exceptional I would be open to consideration)!
Lastly, I would like to be able to game to some extend, nothing fancy, just enough to play some FPS and MMORPG's without trouble.
Thank you for having pity on me haha, I look forward to hearing your responses! Cheers!![]()

I just got the Logitech MX518.
It's a very good wired mouse with up to 1800DPI, enough for any casual gamer. It's for right handed people, the grip is very comfortable too.
it's also fairly cheap, I would recommend it. -
wireless mice are really bad for gaming... TBH i don't like peripherals with batteries....
If your priority is comfort, since all mice are different, I suggest you head to Best Buy or another electronic store that has a lot of mice on display and you can try each and see how it feels. Then make your decision on what to buy. -
The Logitech G7 is wireless USB, costs $79.99 on Logitech's own site, but you can get it for less at Amazon, eBay, buy.com, etc. Made for gaming, and it should be great for average to large hands.

Wireless you would look a Razer Mamba and Logitech G7.
For wired... My favorites r DeathAdder and MX518 (rev1... rev2 is good but... meh). -
Go to a shop and try/feel out the mouse that fits comfortably in your hand. Then use that as reference.
cheers ... -
Go to Best Buy today and buy the Logitech MX Revolution for 40USD. Its the most comfortable I've used and it has customizable buttons. I set some of them to skip tracks so now I can do all that with my hand on my mouse. Very nice mouse and very good deal.

Try a Razer Deathadder, I love mine
However, trying one out first would work great -
Deathadder for sure for a wired mouse... i love mine.
If you want wireless I'd go with the Mamba so you can use it wired when the battery dies. That'll be my next mouse when my Deathadder kicks the bucket. -
i too looking for a wireless mouse, but microsoft somehow reluctant to release the one i am looking for besides X8 which is a little expensive when i own a lachesis already for a good mouse at this moment
when is the BlueTooth BlueTrack mouse?
or if the price is right, when will the bluetrack mouse with nano receiver coming to canada? -
I'm thinking about getting the Logitech VX Nano myself, any opinions on that mouse?
-
everyone is going to say try what they have.
i have a razor lechesis. 4000dpi, 9 buttons + wheel, comfortable grip.
try it. -
Thank you everyone for your responses. Just to give you an update, I took your advice and ventured down to Best Buy last night to try out the mice they had available. I tested the MX Revolution, VX Nano, Razer Deathadder, MX518, G5, a few Microsoft mice, and several others. I was most impressed by the MX when it comes to comfort, my hand just melted right into it, I was set on buying it except the side scroller bothered me so much because it would rub against the front of my thumb I decided against it. Turns out it was sold out in every store around the whole area regardless.
Each gaming wired mouse that I tried out were nice, I have to say I was very impressed by the design and craftsmanship of the Razer mouse. While the Logitech mice felt fairly comfortable, it seemed like they were both made for people with claw grip in particular, while I find myself gravitating towards a palm grip.
So by the end of my testing I was left empty handed, none of the wireless were what I was looking for and I was not particularly interested in having a wired mouse, but I gained a lot of insight to what I prefer and enjoy in a mouse. I was saying to myself "I wish there was a MX Revolution without that side scrolling wheel on the bottom left of it". Well after doing a little more research it I found the Logitech MX1100. I think this might be the perfect fit, I am going to do a little bit more reading and make sure there are no huge problems with it, but otherwise I will be buying this tomorrow, most likely off Amazon!
Again, thanks for all of your replies, I really appreciate every comment! Cheers! -

I like my Vx revolution for a USB RF mouse and my Thinkpad Bluetooth mouse. If you have built in Bluetooth then I would advise to take advantage of that capability and use a Bluetooth mouse. Dongle free and the cleanest solution.

i have a G5 that matches my laptp, its blue and black for the G71G-RX05

laser mice are horrible for competitive fps. No reason to pay more for inferior product. Read my post with data to back it up i fyou're curious. some of the best mice are the cheapest ones.

for comfort i hear the vx revolution is very nice, but thee usb receiver for a notebook sucks. I'm planning to get a vx nano receiver, $20 on ebay, to work with a vx revolution. The nano receiver is small enough to leave in your laptop permanently. -
I like Laser mouses, I hope to upgrade my desktop with a Laser in the fall. I've seen some laptop mouses sell for almost $100 which is close to what I paid for mine.

I have the VX Nano mouse and I'm very happy with it. It is small, but aren't all laptop mice. Took me about a week to get used to it, but has been good ever since.

Try looking at MS products, I've had fantastic use from the Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 7000.

I think I have a logitech wireless m500 or somesuch. I've had it for about 3 years and still going strong. Probably cost me around $40 all the while being perfect.
As far as I'm concerned, there's no need to buy an $80~ mouse as long as you find one comfortable for less. -

I despise Microsoft mouse, have you see that new one that arches and it's flat, I think that is fine for a office setting on a glass table in a bank whereas the person does not use the mouse often and wants to look like he owns the bank when in reality he is just a person who sets you up a bank account

Thanks for the reply on the Nano question, benjy! I appreciate it, that's the mouse I'm going to order I think.
