    Hi guys,

    Need some help ...

I ve noticed when i plug in my external 2.5" HD & my iPod (30GB) .. the USB hub starts acting weird & stops working.

I am sure its cause of two HD's.

How can i power two HD's on a single Hub?

I have only 3 usb ports on my laptop.

1st for Mouse. (its a gaming mouse with 1000 HZ rate..so i cant use it on usb Hub)
    2nd for Keyboard.
3rd for Random use. . i connect USB hub but it crashes when i connect lot of devices.

A 2.5" HDD takes all the power that a USB port can deliver (some need to use a 2nd USB port to provide extra power). The iPod also takes significant power (it no doubt goes into charge mode). There's not enough power to go round and something stops.

Your options are: (i) plug the keyboard and mouse into the hub (these don't take much power) and use the other 2 ports for the HDD and iPod; or (ii) get a hub which has its own power supply.
