BMW Helped Design this Thermaltake Gaming Mouse - IGN
-
This looks a lot better than I thought they would.
-
Aaaand it would be priced at $9999.99
Am I right? -
Supposedly $90 but I cant seem to find any for sale let alone a review of how good they are. (I guess they came out Aug. 27th)
-
$90 is a lot just to spend on a mouse, plus that design looks pretty brittle /:
-
Where's Ferrari in all of this? Are they just going to sit back and let BMW take all the market share?
-
It better be made of carbon fiber

Wow. That article is COMPLETE GARBAGE. Whatever happened to articles trying to convey factual information?
This mouse is from Thermaltake and designed by DesignworksUSA, a fully owned subsidiary design consultancy of BMW AG. According to wikipedia, besides BMW and Thermaltake, other clients include Hyster, Otis Elevator Company, Siemens, Nokia, Compaq, Adidas, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Starbucks, Coca Cola, Boeing Business Jets, Embraer, Pilatus, John Deere, Advanced Medical Optics, BAVARIA Yachts, Dornbracht, Acer, and Head.
Also, BMW was the third most important engine manufacturer for the third reich after Daimler-Benz and Junkers Motoren.
Apparently, DesignworksUSA, founded in 1972, has automotive experience going back 26 years, when it designed the seats for the BMW 8 series. Their scope in the whole time has been limited to style and ergonomics.
The only image I could find of this mouse with the BMW roundel on it was the crudely photoshopped image in the article itself. And that image isn't even of the same mouse!
BMW cars can be called bimmers, and BMW motorcycles can be called beemers (or beamers) if you want. Since this is neither a car nor a motorcycle, let alone a product designed, marketed, manufactured, or sold by BMW AG, I don't think you can call it that.
Besides all that, I think it looks like a cool mouse! -
$90 really isnt alot for a mouse these days, Razer prices its garbage for over $100.
