I need a new battery for my Sony Vaio FW41. Not sure if Sony still sells it, but last time I look it cost $350, which is probably what my laptop itself is worth now, so that price is ridicoulous. I can find batteries on ebay for around $100-150.
Question is if they're original. Some sellers state outright it's a copy, but some say they are genuine original but are they telling the truth? And if it's not original and a copy, can it be dangerous to use, like damaging the computer or start a fire?
Like this one, stated original but I hesitate...
Genuine Sony Vaio VGN-FW41E/H Laptop Battery - Original | eBay
Any help appreciated!

According to the picture the battery says Sony and he's sold a lot of item and almost perfect feedback. I think he can be trusted.

Well yes, but if you check the negatives someone says another battery isn't genuine. What I wonder mostly is, IF, it's a copy, can it be dangerous?

Original batteries, where do you buy them?
