Guys, I plan on taking this netbook with me and keeping it in the car but I wouldn't mind some outside protection. I've found hard shells, skins of course and leather cases and some are even ventilated.
I would like to hear your ideas about pros and cons of the different options and if a shell or case will make it overhead then there's no point in getting one is there? (Rhetorical question)
I like this but see no ventilation on the bottom Amazon.com: Hard Candy Cases Bubble Shell Asus EEE PC 1005HA Netbook Hard Case, Black: Electronics
Ventilated case although not in ALL the right places Amazon.com: 2n1 Executive Leather Case for Asus Eee Pc 1000 Asus Eee Pc 1000he 10-inch Netbook (Asus Eee Pc 1000ha 10-inch Netbook Not Included) + Screen Protector Kit: Clothing
I doubt I'll be on the computer for many hours at the time but just in case, I'd hate to have to take it out just 'cause it overheats. Most of what I'll do by the way will be surfing.
Note! I don't really want to get a case where I take the netbook out although I really should 'cause I hate trackpads and tend to carry a small mouse with me anyway. Mind you, I might get a small case for a mouse and velcro it to the case if I get one.
Thanks
George

I would just get a cheap sleeve, imo.
It's not like you laptop is super expensive so something that offers basic protection from bumps and small drops should be fine.
A "shell" type cases, especially the plastic ones might be more convenient but it doesn't offer as much protection from drops besides scratch prevention. -
I can't stand the sleeves though and apart from hating the feel of neoprene, I really didn't want anything where I have to take the netbook out, that's why I prefer one of the other options, OR a silicon case but can't find one for this netbook (yet).

Any comments about possible heating issues on either shell or leather case?
