Expensive method: Get a PS3 dualshock controller, find some working drivers, and use it via USB.

Cheaper method: Get a PS2 dualshock controller, USB adapter, and plug it in.

Cheapest method: Get a USB dualshock controller off eBay.

Expense is based on having to get all items an once~

I believe that the dualshock controller is more comfortable than the Xbox controller though :p

Why don't you just buy a Xbox 360 Controller? It has good game support and already comes with a USB plug. Plus, it's very comfortable to hold. Much better than the PS controllers, I think

I think quite the opposite...I like the way the Xbox/Xbox 360 has the left thumbstick further up. The PS2/PS3 design has them perfectly symmetrical, which I don't really like. And I've had my experience with both designs; over the years I've owned a PlayStation, a PS2, an Xbox, and now an Xbox 360. :D
I would recommend the 360 controller as well, but he specifically asked for PS2 or PS3-style. :p

I assume you already have a PS3 controller then. Try using these drivers then. Note: There is no way for it to work without the USB cable yet.

Why bother with extra drivers and possible issues, when you can just get one of these?

It's the exact same design, and they're good quality. I have 4.
