I'm trying to install a Quatech SPP-100 pc card on my Hp Pavilion ze 4900 and I'm having a hard time with it! Has anyone ran into this problem yet? I have plugged the pc card into a Dell Inspirion 2500 and it works perfect! I'm in upgrade process to the HP!

The Quatech SPP-100 will not install as a printer port I have changed the settings under the device manager. In the dell it put it in the device manager under ports as a communication Port Com 1 and ECP Printer Port 1. I'm able to run a printer through the device! The HP is reading it as a quatech spp-100 and will not let the printer work!

Did you install drivers for it?

Xp installed the drivers from the CD rom. It is in the device manager with no conflicts but it will not let the printer work! Is there a way to fix the bios or is there a patch to correct this?

I really don't know...at this point I'd be calling tech support for the card.
