i've been looking into these, but apparently the better of the two networks (HSDPA) is sparce compared to the worse of the two(EDGE)

is it worth it to pay the 60 or some odd bucks a month to have a near broadband like connection within the wide area of the EDGE network and a amazingly powerfull broadband connection within the sparce HSDPA network?

i mean, 60 bucks a month, thats a Good broadband connection right there, but this one you can take any where?

apparnetly the EDGE Network produces a max down speed of 175 kbps(with average speeds of 125 kbps) and the HSDPA produces a max downspeed of 1.8 mbps(with average speeds of 700 kbps)

Now what i'm asking is ... does any one else out there think its worth it?

living in the city i do, any where i might consider using the enternet(in my home town), has a Free WiFi Connection or a place i can hook one up, How ever i do travel quite a bit.

i dont even really have a solid place of living because i travel so much...which is the only reason i'm realy considering this option...

any ways, what are your thoughts?

    Edit:

is this the right place for this thread? I'm not sure...

If I lived in a big city, I would get it.

i just learned my phone has access to the edge network ... all i have to do is plug it into my laptop and it'll connect me...it just costs a ton per kb if i dont have a service plan ...

ill do sommore research...its a nifty thing...if only it were cost effective.
