    PCMCIA(i think) tv in/out?

    Is there a card i can get, i think its PCMCIA(not sure how to tell), that would have a tv in or a tv out, or both

    i have an e1505

    I really do not think they would work very well, as there would be a little lag as the card has to connect with the GPU. I would get a VGA to S-Video cable.

    your 1505 has video out capabilities built in.

    are you asking about a tv capture card?

    im not really sure what im talking about....i was just wondering if i could plug in the tv cable from my dorm into my laptop somehow to watch tv on it...

    You need a tv tuner for that, and the e1505 only has an expresscard slot (successor to the pcmcia card slot, but not many companies have products for it yet).

    wait, my e1505 doesnt have a pcmcia slot? cuz i can get a tv tuner that is pcmcia for 5 bux!!!!!
    the expresscard one is 50+!!!!!!!!!!!

    id like to know as well seeing how i have the same laptop and looking to capture and watch tv/cable progriams.


    edit: pfrom what i can see, the e1505 has a VGA-out plug(monitor), s-video(7-pin), 4 usb ports, 1394 port, media card reader and the slot with the button on it i guess would be the expresscard slot

    Currently, only HP offers an express tv tuner card. There are plenty of good external USB tv tuner some are even HD capable.
