Is there a card i can get, i think its PCMCIA(not sure how to tell), that would have a tv in or a tv out, or both
i have an e1505

I really do not think they would work very well, as there would be a little lag as the card has to connect with the GPU. I would get a VGA to S-Video cable.
-
your 1505 has video out capabilities built in.
are you asking about a tv capture card? -
Check out the Avermedia products. They work very well, and are a quality company.

im not really sure what im talking about....i was just wondering if i could plug in the tv cable from my dorm into my laptop somehow to watch tv on it...
-
You need a tv tuner for that, and the e1505 only has an expresscard slot (successor to the pcmcia card slot, but not many companies have products for it yet).
-
or what about a usb one? or any other connections i could use
-
wait, my e1505 doesnt have a pcmcia slot? cuz i can get a tv tuner that is pcmcia for 5 bux!!!!!
the expresscard one is 50+!!!!!!!!!!!
wtf -
id like to know as well seeing how i have the same laptop and looking to capture and watch tv/cable progriams.
edit: pfrom what i can see, the e1505 has a VGA-out plug(monitor), s-video(7-pin), 4 usb ports, 1394 port, media card reader and the slot with the button on it i guess would be the expresscard slot -
i htink ATI has a USB tv tuner but its around $80 and I've heard there is a bit of lag.. not too bad though

Currently, only HP offers an express tv tuner card. There are plenty of good external USB tv tuner some are even HD capable.
