I'm using InputMapper to map my Sony PlayStation DualShock 4 controller to the pc as a Xbox 360 controller. However, when the cable is connected to the micro-USB port, it wiggles too much around. In fact, the micro usb connection only enters a portion of the total length. Searching for the issue on the internet it looks like it's a generalized issue.

I'll take it back to the shop and buy instead a second hand DualShock 3 controller (PlayStation 3), which has a mini-USB port, much more sturdy. The only downside of this, is that the plug and play is not that straightforward. The program to use in this case is the DS3 tool, which is installed with MotioninJoy.

Hope this can help people having this same issue further in time, because I'm convinced that all units will have the same defect.

I don't have that problem with DS4. Sometimes cables can be poor/damaged. Also DS4 can work with a laptop over bluetooth.
