It says that my Panasonic tx-l37s10b 37" LCD HD display has a res of 1920x1080 1080p but when i plug my M15x laptop to it which itself has a res of 1920x1080, the Panasonic 37" can only display a max res of 1280x1024 which just looks silly.
It has the option of going up to 1600 but when i select any options over 1280x1024 it displays a black screen with the words pc on the top left, not displaying res or hz until it resumes back to 1280x1024 display.

Is there any possible way to change/improve on this res or do I just have to accept the fact this huge screen can only support a tiny res? Thanks.
