ok, after surfing through various links and computer bag companies, it has dawned on me that my subnotebook, the Panasonic Toughbook W4 is incompatible with any sleeves that exist, mainly because the backend is 1.8". This is really annoying because I am really interested in the Booq Vyper sleeves. Does anyone know of any sleeves that would fit the W4? or even if the Booq Vyper sleeves or any others allow for some sort of "stretchability" in order to fit these cursed W4 dimensions. Here they are:

    10.6" x 8.28" x 0.98- 1.74"
    (268 x 210.4 x 24.9- 44.3mm)

gahhhhh someone help please!! any help or reply from the notebook community would be great!

I have to agree with 9ball. If I could stand on the T4 and slam it around mercilessly for three weeks, I don't see why you'd waste money on a sleeve for these beasts.

thats true, these things are like tanks, well..semi-tanks. Do you panny owners find that the casing itself scratches alot if you just toss it in your bag? thats my main concern.

I was very tough on the T4 I reviewed for this site, and it didn't scratch the case at all. The only vulnerable spot I could think of would be the plastic covers on the bottom, but any damage to those would be from impact and not just rubbing against things in your bag.

Of course, they're so ugly, scratching up the case might be an improvement. ;-) Good luck on scratching it without a file or an etching laser, though!

there's a company called reload ( http://reloadbags.com) who specialize in making bicycle messenger bags. they will custom-make you a sleeve, all you have to do is give them the dimensions as well as the colors (i.e. flap, sleeve, trim, thread). the make two models, one designes to be carried in another bag, and one with a handle, desingned to be carried on its own. they range from about $35 to $50, and take about two weeks to arrive. i own one and could not be happier.
