I somehow got a particle stuck on the screen. It looks like a (very) small grain of sand (though much paler than sand) that's I guess lodged into the glossy screen. I'm guessing it was something hiding between my keys that got stuck onto the screen while it was bouncing around in my bag as I was lugging it around. It won't come off to the usual microfiber + lcd cleaning solution and gentle rubbing.

To date, I've kept the glossy screen in very good condition, but I'm not quite sure how to get this thing off. Ordinarily, for most stuff, I'd just scratch it off with my fingernail, like I'd do while detailing my car, but I'm hesitant to use such a ... brute force method on a notebook lcd screen.

Any help? Sorry if this has been answered, but all the notebook screen cleaning topics I've browsed seem to only say "wipe stuff with microfiber", which is fine for lint and generic dust, but this sucker is not coming off easily.

if its really a stuck pixel than its not going to come off. its inside the panel and not removable. and nothing from the keyboard can get inside and make a stuck pixel. a stuck pixel will normally be either blue red or green.

what color is it? or is it black? then it may be a dead pixel.

a stuck pixel SOMETIMES can be fixed but not always. a dead pixel is dead and normally will never come back. they can appear anytime and may or may not be from anything in particular.

it can only be removed if its outside of the screen and not inside..unless its a nick in the glossy coating which again means it can not be removed

It's not a pixel. It's a foreign particle that is stuck onto the screen. Like if you threw a grain of sand at the screen, and it got stuck instead of bouncing off. I'm sure I could just scratch it right off the screen (like sometimes when washing dishes, you gotta scrub with something harsher than a normal sponge), but I'm pretty sure doing that would otherwise damage the screen.

(EDIT: Hmph, looks like I posted in the wrong section too, oh well)
