Pelican cases are great. I have one for a pair of steiner binoculars. You can run your car over it and it will be fine. Its sealed to prevent water and also pressurized.

Many industries use them such as medical, fire, military, and special electronic industries. No doubt they make good products.

However not sure if your laptop will fit. Check the dimensions and compare.

    Inside Dimensions: 17 1/2"L x 11 1/2"W x 4 7/16"D

I've had a small one for my digital camera for years now. I use it when I go fishing, hunting, camping. Works great. Very sturdy.
