I'm looking for a pen scanner to use in school. I'm not looking to scan entire text book pages. I only want to scan certain lines out of the text book. I'm looking for a quicker way of taking notes rather than reading the chapters, highliting and going back and typing it into word. Anyone know of a good pen scanner that would do this?

I'm currently looking at this one:

    Thank you

I considered it before but have concluded in the end it is not that useful.
One of the reason was that it cannot understand special symbols like in mathematics.

Once have seen a european parliament member using it to copy-translate some part of a newspaper text. :)

I am also not sure the iris pen is a up to date technology.

Hi I have been using this pen for quite a time, it is great once u get used to which is goin to take a wile.As ivar said it doesn't recognize mathematical symbols (to be precise mathematical formulas) but for scanning random notes it is a great device.
