    Hi all,

First time poster. Anyways I have an HP Envy 14 laptop that i use to game but my little sister usually likes to look over my shoulder to see what the story progression is so I've been thinking about picking up a cheap projector to make it easier for both of us.

I saw a deal for these

Has anyone used pico projectors int he past? are the colors and brightness good enough?

I dont know how good it is but it says that the maximum allowed resolution it can output is 1024x600.
Other than that i dont know what to say about it, since i never used that model nor any other pico projectors.

Thanks for the reply DEagleson? (Counter-strike reference?)

Ya the resolution is a bit smaller (I saw max res. at 1280x768) than my laptop but I think what got me excited was how small it was and it can do an 80" screen.

I was thinking of drying to dual screen Skyrim on this

DEagleson is an improvement! I'm pretty stoked for CS:GO and I definitely like the universal $15 price point!

Anyways, I think I am going to get the projector. They posted this coupon.

I'll update if it was a good venture

    Wish you luck. :)
The price aint bad, and i mean you can always just clone the output so both notebook monitor and the projector displays the same image since the pico projector accepts a input of 1280x768 (720p) but outputs 1024x600.

At long last, my projector has arrived. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. Given the price and the fact that I can now project on two screens its pretty nice. I'm projecting at maybe 90ish inches right there, so its a pretty big screen. The brightness is not a problem in low lighting or darkness which makes it work fine for my purposes. All in all, a good buy. Here is a little video review I threw together.

I've used pico projectors and I must say. they suck. big time.

because they are small, they can't have a big light source, so the brightness is always VERY VERY low.
    it's a piece of crap.

you can buy small and lightweight projectors that have much more brightness that are just a bit more bigger and heavier.
    just compare the brightness.
